Trip to the Big Trees

Last weekend we made the short trip from G's parents house to the Kings Canyon National Park to see the "Big Trees". The boys had a blast with two of their doting cousins crawling into tree hollows and exploring giant hollow trunks for "ghost-es." First hand views of gorgeous unbelievably giant trees, cool mountain air and a picnic lunch were enjoyed by all. Oh, and ice cream at the general store before heading home. The boys told me that was there favorite part. It was a close second for me too.

  2. I don't know how to say this without sounding ridiculous but.. Jeez, old trees make my heart go all happy. We just moved into an area with much older trees than what I'm used to and I keep finding myself frozen just looking at them. So awe inspiring! (Nerd alert.)

  3. Loved the pictures brought back many good memories of when I was a little girl and we would visit the 'big' trees.
