big boys

G and I finally took the plunge and converted the boys' cribs to big boy beds. We realized that at almost 3 1/2 years it was most likely time. So far my fears of the boys wandering all over the house at night uninhibited, playing with the toys in their room until all hours of the night, and overall general mayhem have been just that. Fears. (*BIG knock on wood*)

Things have been slowing down, changing, and finding a new rhythm around here. One that hasn't allowed much time for this dear space of mine or for much visiting of your dear spaces. Here's to being accepting and open to a new season in life!

happy weekend, all!

  1. Big boy beds! I think the only reason we kicked our boys out of the crib was because someone else needed it! And for that reason, Emil (our youngest) will probably be in his crib until he is 7.

Just kidding. But we did have to remove all toys and distractions from our older boys' shared room so they would actually sleep. Congrats on getting those boys to sleep!

  2. mmmm... i like your sentiments cortnie. the boys couldn't be cuter jumping off their big boy beds. you have double the fun the double the trouble there, dontcha? : ) they're angels.

  3. So cute! I've been told to keep Wyatt in his crib as long as possible because it's a nightmare when you 'free' them too young. I think 3 1/2 sounds about perfect but of course he did throw himself out of his crib already at just 21 months so now I'm biting my nails :)

I'm really impressed that they've been staying put, even with one another to tempt them into mischief. Good boys!

  4. Looks like fun. Maybe I should stand on my bed every once in a while.
