It always squeezes my heart a little when I see old pictures of the boys with their messy mop hair - and those chubby little hands add a dose of melancholic fondness...

We're off to celebrate birthdays with family this weekend - hopefully that includes lots of swimming in pools and lemonade and grandparents making breakfast while mamas and dadas sleep in!

happy weekend!

  1. They are so cute! It's so hard and delightful all at once to let them grow up.

    Enjoy a relaxing week-end.

  2. I have much to learn from photographers like you regarding how to capture the tiniest moment of life and reveal its beauty. These are lovely. Such rich, creamy colors. And those boys... I don't even know them and yet they squeeze my heart a little bit too. :)

  6. Thanks, MJ!

Nunu, the second pic is a close-up of a vintage fisher price playhouse. My mom kept a lot of that stuff from our childhood which I love!

  7. Hope it was fun. I too like those little mops of hair, and those artfully arranged peels.
